Fix Fitbit Versa 2 Won’t Turn on Issue
Without wasting time, let us try to troubleshoot Fitbit Versa 2 not turning on the issue.
1. Charge the Versa 2
If your Fitbit Versa 2 is dead and not responding, then you have to charge its battery for at least one hour. Most of the time, Fitbit Versa 2 won’t charge for multiple reasons, such as a damaged charger or socket.
As fitness trackers and smartwatches do not need a regular recharge, people forget to charge the device most of the time. As a result, your smartwatch does not turn on.
Also, your Fitbit Versa won’t turn on after a factory reset if you charge the battery at least 50%, so make sure that the fitness tracker has at least 50% battery before restarting it.
In my case, my Fitbit Versa 2 came back to life after recharging it for one hour.
2. Check Charger
After one hour, try to start the smartwatch again. If it still doesn’t turn on, check the charger for any damage. If your charger gets damaged, then the tracker does not charge, and ultimately your device dies.
Also, make sure that the charging port where you connected the charger is functional. If you doubt any malfunction, change the plugin port and charge the Versa 2 on another charging port.
Additional Tip: Always use the original Fitbit Versa 2 charger or Fitbit recommended charger for charging purposes. Otherwise, it may damage your device/battery.
Using a duplicate charger can also be a reason for revoking the device warranty. Say no to duplicate chargers and other accessories.
Note: Fitbit Versa and Versa Lite chargers do not work for Versa 2
3. Clean Versa 2 Charging Port
If all the steps fail, then clean the charging port of the Fitbit Versa 2 on the backside of Versa 2. Use a clean cloth to clean the device.
Please do not use any sharp object to clean the charging port as it may damage your Versa 2. Besides, it can even damage the waterproof sealing of your Versa 2.
If there are not any severe issues, then the device will turn on. Otherwise, there may be severe issues with your Versa 2, and you need to contact Fitbit customer support.
When my Fitbit versa 2 failed to turn on, I checked the Fitbit Community for support. But there was not a useful thread to fix this issue.
