Fitbit Ace 3 Design

In terms of design, the Fitbit Ace 3 looks similar to its predecessor, the Fitbit Ace 2. The Ace 3 is very lightweight and small, so kids will not have any trouble wearing it for a long time. The PMOLED screen looks great in all lighting conditions (even outside!), and the interactive features are intuitive enough that older children can figure them out without help from an adult.

It comes with everything that kids need to get started: one device, two bands of different sizes (small/medium and large/extra-large), interchangeable straps (so the band can grow with them), a back clip (for those who do not wear their clothes too tight)

The Fitbit Ace 3 is available in 3 colors: blue, black, and special edition minions yellow. The silicone band is interchangeable, so kids can swap out their favorite color as often as they like!

Fitbit Ace 3 Features

The Fitbit Ace 3 monitors how active the child is (either sitting or standing) and gives them an overall score based on their activity level at the end of each day. There is even a fun interactive game to help keep children motivated!

Fitbit’s built-in sleep tracking is excellent and should be a feature that makes this device appealing not only as an interactive fitness tracker but also as a way to get better rest at night by knowing when it was time for bed!

Unfortunately, Fitbit Ace 3 does not have a heart rate sensor, but this may not be as important if you are looking for something that will only track basic movements like walking. Fitbit Inspire 2 comes with heart rate monitoring capability, so these could be worth considering too.

Similarly, there are some restrictions to use Fitbit App if your child is under 13 years old; however, most other features should simply work fine.

Fitbit App for Children

To connect Fitbit Ace 3 to your phone via the app, parents need to set up profiles for their kids so they can offer feedback on what type of activity level would make them happy (e.g., high energy) or how active they are in comparison with other kids.

The Fitbit Ace 3 comes with funny and animated watch faces which were not available on the Ace 2. For example, the spaceship and illuminating display while walking help the child stay motivated throughout the day.

To ensure safety, features including joining Fitbit communities and tracking calories are blocked in the Fitbit app.

Who is for Fitbit Ace 3?

This activity tracker is geared towards kids aged six to thirteen years old. As mentioned earlier, the Fitbit Ace 3 is for those who are looking for a fitness tracker to track your child’s basic activities like movements, sleep, etc.

As it is focused on children, it does not track calories burned count. However, it tracks active zone minutes and time spent on various activities like walking, running, cycling, etc.

The band is soft and comfortable to wear throughout the day. It is waterproof up to 50 meters., making it suitable to wear during activities like swimming or playing with water.

Fitbit Ace 3 Battery Life

One of the significant differences between Ace 2 and Ace 3 is the battery life. The Fitbit Ace 2 battery can last up to five days only, whereas the battery life on Fitbit Ace 3 can last about eight days on average.

Disadvantages of Fitbit Ace 3 Tracker

  1. You cannot track your children’s real-time location as it does not have GPS.
  2. It does not have a heart rate monitoring and SpO2 tracking feature.

Fitbit Ace 3 Price and Availability

The Fitbit Ace 3 is priced under $80 and is available on Amazon. The Fitbit Ace 3 Minions Special Edition is also worth considering, released a few days back.

Another popular kids Fitness Tracker, the Garmin vivofit Jr 3, is also worth considering, but it cost you a few bucks more. If you are confused with both the device, make sure we check our Fitbit Ace 3 vs. Garmin Vivofit Jr. 3 comparisons.

Conclusion

The Fitbit Ace 3 is perfect for monitoring your child’s activity and sleep, but it does not have some of the features other more expensive trackers offer, such as GPS or heart-rate tracking. If you are looking for an interactive toy-like experience from your child’s first wearable, then take a look at this one!
