Amazfit GTR 2 has just got a new eSIM enabled sibling at a retail price of 1999 Yuan (~$305). The new smartwatch is available in the Obsidian Black colour option. The smartwatch is currently launched in China and is compatible with three network carriers including China Telecom, China Unicom and China Mobile.

The new Amazfit GTR 2 will enable the users to enjoy the network connectivity without the need for a Phone. However, other features remain the same including the thin design, AMOLED display and built-in storage. Moreover, the standalone GPS is the primary USP of the device.

It allows the users to address the calls and manage messages without any external device support. The interested users can either use the new number or port the existing number to use in the smartwatch. Moreover, the watch comes with NetEase Cloud Music for online music streaming. The users can even synchronise their personal song lists.

Amazfit GTR 2 offers battery backup of up to 2 days with heavy usage. However, the backup time increases swiftly upon shifting to normal usage.
